ARTICLE 1: SCOPE OF APPLICATION
These general terms and conditions of sale apply to all sales concluded through the website https://abacusuniverse.com/
ARTICLE 2: ORDERS
Automatic recording systems are considered as proof of the nature and content of the order. Abacus Universe confirms acceptance of the order to the customer via the email address provided. The sale is concluded upon Abacus Universe’s validation of payment for the order, i.e., the date of payment approval for online card payments or the date of receipt of payment by check. Abacus Universe reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order from a customer with whom there is a dispute regarding payment of a previous order.
ARTICLE 3: PRODUCT AVAILABILITY
As long as our offers and prices are visible on the site, they remain valid. Availability displayed at the time of browsing depends on stock status at Abacus Universe and, of course, at our suppliers.
To create our showcase and sales catalog, we rely on databases enriched with information provided by our suppliers. Since this database contains more than a hundred items, not all are stocked in our warehouses, so our offer depends on supplier availability.
Only a permanent discontinuation of an item by our suppliers results in its removal from our sales offer. Otherwise, reordering within a certain timeframe remains possible.
If an ordered product is unavailable, the customer is informed by email or noted on the invoice concerning products shipped if the order contains multiple items.
Order delivery deadline: When placing the order and on the order confirmation, a delivery timeframe is communicated to customers. This is calculated by adding the longest product availability delay to the shipping timeframe of the chosen transport method.
From order placement to shipment, the customer may cancel the order.
Special cases:
Pre-order items: Upcoming items are offered on https://abacusuniverse.com/ for pre-order. This reservation includes a release date announced by the publisher at the start of the pre-order phase. This release date may change at any time by the publisher, who solely manages product commercialization.
In all cases, Abacus Universe strives to ship pre-ordered items to customers as soon as the definitive sale date occurs, based on stock provided by the publisher on the release day.
ARTICLE 4: PRICES
Prices shown in euros are net and exclude shipping fees. They include product price, handling, packaging, and storage costs. Prices are subject to change without notice, but items will be billed at the rate effective upon order registration. All orders are invoiced and payable in euros. Any customs duties or local taxes remain the responsibility of the recipient.
ARTICLE 5: SHIPPING FEES
Shipping fees cover preparation, packaging, and postage costs. Please combine all your items into a single order. We cannot combine two separate orders, and shipping fees will apply to each order individually.
ARTICLE 6: PAYMENT
You have multiple secure payment options. You can pay:
- By credit or debit card (Visa, Eurocard/Mastercard) directly on the website via the secure SSL-encrypted payment form during checkout, entering card type, number without spaces, security code (on the back of the card), and expiration date.

You have various payment methods and can benefit from installment options via credit card.

Card payment is fully secure; your order is recorded and validated once payment is accepted by the bank.
ARTICLE 7: DELIVERY
We deliver to your home or a pickup point. Delivery time includes package preparation and transit time. Abacus Universe ships worldwide. Buyers receive email updates for order preparation and shipment stages.
Delivery time includes preparation and carrier transit. The estimated 10 to 20-day delivery time starts upon buyer receipt of the shipment email. Delivery times indicated by the carrier do not bind Abacus Universe to any longer delays.
ARTICLE 8: WARRANTY – RETURNS – REFUNDS – WITHDRAWAL
Products sold on https://abacusuniverse.com/ are new and guaranteed against defects. They are identical to those in traditional retail and sourced from all referenced publishers and suppliers.
If a product is defective or non-compliant, the buyer has 15 business days from receipt to request an exchange or refund. If this period expires on a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday, it extends to the next business day.
The customer must return unused products in their entirety and original, intact packaging, with all accessories, instructions, and documentation (including original cellophane wrapping and accompanying invoice). The buyer must provide proof of defects via description and photos sent to contact@abacusuniverse.com.
In exercising the right of withdrawal, Abacus Universe refunds amounts paid without fees, except return shipping costs. Refunds must be made within 14 business days from receipt of returned packages.
Return shipping fees remain the customer’s responsibility.
Refunds are guaranteed within 14 days of receiving the returned package. No cash-on-delivery returns will be accepted under any circumstances.
ARTICLE 9: TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP AND RISK
Ownership of the products transfers to the purchaser only after full payment has been received, regardless of delivery date. However, risk of loss or damage passes upon delivery and receipt of products by the purchaser.
ARTICLE 10: PROTECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA
Abacus Universe owns or manages all or part of the databases composing this site. By accessing this site, customers acknowledge that the data is legally protected and agree not to extract, reuse, store, reproduce, represent, or keep, directly or indirectly, by any means or format, any substantial part of the databases’ content found on this site.
ARTICLE 11: LIABILITY
Product descriptions on the https://abacusuniverse.com/ database are based on information from publishers. Abacus Universe is not responsible for the content of works and cannot be held liable toward buyers. Abacus Universe’s liability cannot be engaged in cases of force majeure (strike, flood, fire...).
Products offered comply with current French law. Abacus Universe disclaims responsibility if delivered items do not comply with legislation in the country of delivery (censorship, author or title bans...). Abacus Universe is not responsible for content on external sites linked from its own website.
ARTICLE 12: GOVERNING LAW
All clauses in these general terms and conditions, as well as all purchase and sale operations referenced herein, are governed by French law.
ARTICLE 13: BUYER’S ACCEPTANCE
These general terms and conditions of sale and pricing are expressly agreed to and accepted by the buyer, who declares full knowledge and waives reliance on any conflicting document, particularly their own general purchase conditions. Placing an order constitutes acceptance of these terms.
